My name is George Bigler. I retired from the Polk County Sheriff's Office as head of Courthouse Security in Livingston, Texas.

I grew up in a small town in the Hudson Valley in upstate New York and began cooking at an early age making egg sandwiches and hot dogs for my two sisters. Later, after being promoted to Buck Sergeant in the Army, I had the priviledge of assisting in the mess hall during the holidays. Now THAT was an experience. My love for cooking was launched and has steadily increased over the years.

I love trying new recipes and my wife, Carol, loves to critique the food. I enjoy preparing gourmet tasting meals using ingredients easily found in your local supermarket.
