SWEET
and SPICY BEANS |

This
recipe was submitted from Jayden of
Midland, Texas. She said she got it
from a grocery store in Waco, Texas
about 15 years ago. She says that
she has made it several times and
every time it disappears! The
original recipe she sent calls for 1
jar of peppadews instead of the
chipotle peppers. I could not find
any peppadews within a 60 mile
radius of my home so I substituted
the chipotles. I dont know how it
tastes with the peppadews but the
beans were a success with my family
just as I made them here. |

PREPARATION:
In a
large saucepan over medium heat,
fry the bacon until fully cooked.
Drain the grease. Add all of the
sauces, the broth and peppers.
Bring to a boil and reduce heat to
medium low. Add the beans and
bring to a simmer. Cook about 10
minutes, until beans are heated
throughly.
Hints: I only used 2
chipotles and the beans were quite
spicy (hot) so use the peppers
according to your taste. |
