BEAN BURGERS
Submitted by Jan from Moscow, TX, who says this is her mother’s recipe and she finds it appropriate because her mother’s last name is “Bean”!
TOOLS:
• 10" Skillet
• Cutting Board
• Knife
• Spoon
INGREDIENTS:
• 1 Medium sized onion, chopped
• ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 can pork and beans
• 1 lb. ground beef

PREPARATION:

Place small amount of oil in skillet and saute onions until softened. Add ground meat and cook until done, drain if necessary. Add salt & pepper to taste. Add pork and beans and warm through. Add cheese and stir until melted. Serve on top of hamburger buns.

HINTS: Whether or not you drain the beans would be your choice. A friend told me that this is really good served over french fries or tater tots.
